I know I shouldn't have done it, but I missed you so much that I hacked your home automation network and mirrored it in mine. So now I go to sleep when you turn off the lights, and wake up to the smell of the coffee you programmed.

GAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH.
This is awesomely horrifying.
(Have you read Highsmith's THIS SWEET SICKNESS? A scientist in the grip of such an obsession lives in a crappy rooming house with a bunch of neighbors -- and on the weekends, he goes out to the house he owns, furnished for him and the object of his obsession, and makes dinner and drinks for two. Alone.)
Ouch. That sounds scary.
Glad you liked this!
